
• the MGEU will incorporate information on resolutions into our existing courses for Table Officers and Stewards where appropriate.
• the MGEU will, when negotiating Collective Agreements, try to have all monetary changes retroactive to date of expiry or to the earliest possible date.
• the MGEU will supports its’ members with disabilities by making all MGEU functions such as meetings, conferences and conventions accessible and barrier free.
• that the MGEU will ensure Standing Committee members are required to resign their position on the Committee if they miss 3 meetings. (Committee and Area Council combined total) Absent without notice.
• the Provincial government (through the MFL) to review the current funding structure of non-profit agencies, regardless of whether these agencies have multiple funders, or the type of funding (block, fee for service) that they receive.
• the Provincial government to make changes to the Superannuation Act so that overtime hours can be pensionable up to a maximum of one pensionable year.
• the Provincial government to have the Workers Compensation Board provide coverage to those workers over the age of 65.
• the Provincial government to remove exemptions for Civil Servants from minimum labour standards legislation.
• the Provincial government through Joint Council to provide education to all Departments in the Civil Service to better determine union leave.
