LATEST BARGAINING NEWS
The Bargaining Committee representing Technical/Professional members - Locals 408-411 and 420 has met at the bargaining table with employer representatives regularly in September, October and into November. Thus far, talks have focused on non-monetary items, like hours of work.
The Committee has also been meeting with the employers on a weekly basis at a separate table to discuss wage standardization and market adjustments. These talks are related to agreements reached during our last round of negotiations. The employers are currently verifying information presented at this table and has assured the Committee they will have this work done shortly.
Overview of Bargaining So Far
Members of Technical/Professional - Locals 408-411 and 420 had an opportunity to put forward their ideas and proposals for improving their collective agreement at a number of meetings throughout March and into April 2024.
All members were encouraged to come out, discuss their priorities and concerns, and vote on which proposals to bring forward to this round of bargaining.
The Bargaining Committee then worked to pull together the proposals into a bargaining package, which was presented to the employer when negotiations began in July.
