• Apr 28, 2023 - Day of Mourning events remember and honour Manitoba’s fallen workers
  

  At events across the country, Canada’s unions are recognizing the National Day of Mourning today to remember those who have been killed or injured on the job. Sadly, there are more than a thousand workplace fatalities each year in our country and last year, 22 Manitoba workers died from incidents and illnesses at work, including members from our own union.

• Apr 21, 2023 - MYS Crisis Stabilization Unit Ratifies New Agreement
  

  Members of The Link (Formerly MYS) Youth Crisis Stabilization System - Local 221, who help stabilize youth while providing emotional, physical and cultural safety and wellness resources, ratified a new four-year agreement today.

• Apr 21, 2023 - Seine River Educational Assistants Ratify New Agreement
  

  The votes were counted last night and MGEU members of Local 145 – Seine River School Division Educational Assistants have voted in favour of the employer’s offer. The offer includes wage increases which bring SRSD EAs in line with EAs in other divisions. It also provides a number of other important improvements, including increases to professional development days, access to an employer-paid Employee Assistance Plan, and double time on scheduled days of rest and statutory holidays.

• Apr 17, 2023 - SRSD EA strike on hold -- Local 145 ratification vote scheduled for this week
  

  SRSD EAs were set to go on strike this morning, but a tentative agreement reached over the weekend means the Local will now be holding a ratification vote and casting their ballots on Thursday, April 20 instead.

• Apr 14, 2023 - Riverwood Square ratifies new agreement
  

  Members of Riverwood Square - Local 380 ratified a new two-year agreement this afternoon.

• Apr 14, 2023 - Seine River Educational Assistants on strike starting Monday
  

  The morning of Monday, April 17, over 200 Educational Assistants will be walking the picket line outside the Seine River School Board office.

• Apr 13, 2023 - YWCA Thompson Residence ratifies new agreement
  

  Members of YWCA Residence - Local 179, who provide both daily and long-term accommodations for those who require safe housing and hostel living, ratified a new three-year agreement yesterday.

• Apr 06, 2023 - RRC/ACC members hold info pickets, employer's new offer triggers new vote
  

  Over the lunch hour today, members of Red River College Polytech in Winnipeg and Assiniboine Community College in Brandon held an information picket outside their respective campuses to send a clear message: if staff salaries do not catch up and keep up with others in their field – not to mention increasing inflation! – it will become increasingly difficult to attract those with the kind of experience and knowledge that students need to help launch their careers.

• Mar 30, 2023 - Deaf Centre MB ratifies new agreement
  

  Members of Deaf Centre MB - Local 203, who provide resources, programs, and advocacy that enhances the development of Manitoba's Deaf community, ratified a new seven-year agreement today.

• Mar 30, 2023 - Project Neecheewam ratifies new agreement
  

  Members of Project Neecheewam - Local 139 ratified a new three-year agreement today.
