Members of RRC Polytech, ACC deliver strong strike mandate
The ballots were counted last night and MGEU members at Red River College Polytech (RRC) - Local 73 and Assiniboine Community College (ACC) - Local 71 delivered a strong strike mandate to their Bargaining Committee.

More risky liquor privatization legislation introduced by PC government
New legislation from the Stefanson government would create a five-year pilot program for retail outlets to sell some, or all, of the products carried by Liquor Marts. When combined with the government's other liquor privatization legislation currently making its way through the legislature, the two bills pose a very dangerous threat to Manitoba's public services and community safety.

Public Services provide ‘a better path forward’ – MGEU submits provincial budget priorities
MGEU President, Kyle Ross has provided a written submission to Manitoba's new Finance Minister on behalf of the union’s 30,000 members. In the upcoming budget, the MGEU is calling on the government to make urgently needed public service investments, rebuild the provincial Civil Service, protect public health care, restore education funding, increase wages and resources for those who care for Manitoba’s most vulnerable, and stop contracting out jobs to the private sector at Crown corporations.
