New MGEU ads ask Manitobans to 'choose public services'
During the last six years, the Manitoba government has cut funding and thousands of jobs in the public service. A new MGEU online/TV ad campaign is hitting airwaves ahead of the next provincial budget with a message aimed at Manitobans, asking them to choose ‘public services that help’ over ‘cuts that hurt.’

Chronic government underfunding has resulted in low pay, limited resources, and constant turnover for the workers who help vulnerable Manitobans in our communities. To bring this issue to light and promote the services these frontline workers provide, the MGEU, UFCW 832, and CUPE Manitoba have joined together again to run TV and online ads throughout the province.
