The Pallister government is privatizing Manitoba’s provincial parks with deals surfacing this week in the media about contracts awarded to two different private developers to operate in provincial parks. In Turtle Mountain Provincial Park, Manitoba has signed an agreement to allow a private company to build and operate up to three non-serviced cabins near Adam Lake. • May 13, 2021 - MGEU Stands with Manitobans to #StopBill64 and Defend Public Education

Bill 64, the poorly named ‘Education Modernization Act’, will bring sweeping changes to public education -- including the elimination of school boards and the removal of locally-elected voices from decision-making -- and is designed to take away Manitobans voices while laying the groundwork for further cuts to our schools. In response, the MGEU is asking all members, and all Manitobans, to help defend public education by standing up against Bill 64. The union has created #StopBill64 window signs to distribute for people to put up at home or at work.
