Yesterday, the MGEU took the wraps off of the new
Selkirk regional office – the union’s fourth new office to open in the past six
years.
The new 2,200 sq ft. office, located at 413 Main Street, replaces the
old 260 Superior Avenue location and features improved meeting / office space as
well as a prime location in the heart of downtown Selkirk.
Joining MGEU President Michelle Gawronsky and dozens of MGEU members
for the grand opening was Selkirk MLA Greg Dewar, Selkirk Mayor Larry Johannson, and Interlake-Eastern RHA CEO John Stinson.
Three staff representatives (Darren Darvill, Tina Hay, Shayne Orr) work out of the Selkirk office, serving about 4,600 MGEU members in the
Interlake and Southeastern regions.
