Members from the University of Winnipeg Students’ Association (MGEU Local 153) ratified a new three-year agreement today.
The new contract includes a general wage increase of 2.5% in the first two years of the agreement and 2.9% in the third year of the agreement.
After day-long negotiations with the help of a conciliation officer, the UWSA reversed its position on a number key issues for Local 153 members and the two sides were able to reach a tentative agreement on June 10.
