Over the past two days MGEU members of Teranet (Local 397 and Local 399) have been casting their ballots in a ratification vote on a new four-year agreement.

Members of the bargaining committee counted the ballots this evening and are pleased to announce the agreement has been ratified.

The contract includes wage increases, which are retroactive to March 29, 2014, over four years (2.5%, 2%, 2%, and 2% respectively). It also includes a no-layoff clause for the life of the agreement, which was of importance to members. Other benefit improvements include increases to the health spending account as well as improvements to overtime and banked-time contract language.

The Local 397 / 399 bargaining committee will now contact the employer to get the agreement finalized and signed before it’s printed and distributed to members. In the meantime, affected members of the Locals are encouraged to update their contact information to ensure they receive a copy of the new contract once it is available.
