The MGEU will continue to serve members during the "non-essential business" closure imposed by Manitoba public health officials from April 1-14, 2020 (which on April 13 was extended by the Province until April 28).

We recognize the high volume of member requests for assistance during the pandemic-related disruptions, and have made arrangements to operate on a remote basis through this period.

Starting Wednesday, April 1, 2020, MGEU will implement the following additional adjustments to how we serve members:

  • The MGEU Resource Centre will be responding to voice mail messages instead of taking live calls during this period. As always, you are encouraged to email or call the Resource Centre as you normally would (if calling, please leave a clear message with your name and callback information), and one of our representatives will return your call promptly (Please note: you will see "private caller" or "no caller id" on your call display when we call you back).
  • Please do not send any deliveries to one of our offices at this time. If it is essential that you must send something to one of our representatives, please contact the Resource Centre first to find out how your delivery should be sent.
  • The MGEU will cease mail distribution during this period. Updates will continue to be sent to members via email. If you are a member and have not already provided the MGEU with your personal email address, we encourage you to update your contact information here.
  • To comply with the public health order, all MGEU offices will be closed, and MGEU staff will be working from home.

If you have any further questions regarding these changes, please email or call the MGEU Resource Centre
