The MGEU is pleased to announce that applications for the 2022 MGEU educational scholarships and bursaries are now being accepted.
Each year, the union makes nearly $30,000 available in scholarships and bursaries to help MGEU members and their family members pursue an education and upgrade their skills. Sixteen bursaries are available based on financial need, with two bursaries available in each of the MGEU’s eight geographically-defined Areas: one to an MGEU member and one to a spouse/common-law partner, child or ward of an MGEU member.
The Joseph Grenier Bursary is available to an MGEU health care member in the HCSS Component (or spouse/common-law partner or child pursuing a health care profession), and the applications for the 2022 Ken Hildahl Memorial Award and the Peter Olfert Scholarship are also now available.
Members are also eligible to apply for a number of scholarships from our National Union (NUPGE) as well as the MFL’s Al and Alma Cerilli Scholarship.
