Members of The Link (Youth Services Crisis Stabilization) - Local 221 ratified a new four-year agreement last night. Because this agreement covers April 2018 to April 2022 and thus has expired, Local 221 may serve notice to bargain a new agreement with the employer within 60 days of ratification.
Highlights of the agreement include wage increases and improvements to weekend premiums as well as compensatory and personal leave.
The Bargaining Committee encourages members who have not yet signed a membership application form to contact the MGEU Resource Centre to ensure they receive a copy of the collective agreement once it’s printed.
