Civil Service Members: time to discuss priorities for next collective agreement!
Aug 18, 2022
With the Civil Service collective agreement set to expire at the end of March 2023, over 11,000 MGEU members from across the province will have an opportunity to share their ideas for improving their contract this September.
Dozens of meetings have been scheduled, many including options to attend in-person or online.
See the Local meeting schedule (This schedule was last updated Sept. 16, 2022 and is subject to change. For the most up-to-date meeting dates and times, please refer to the MGEU Meetings/Events Calendar)
The Bargaining Committee encourages Civil
Service members to think about what they'd like to see in their next contract and suggest proposal(s)
for change.
All members are
encouraged to attend their Local meeting, discuss their priorities and
concerns, and vote on which proposals they wish to put forward for negotiations in the
next collective agreement.
Members also have the option of submitting a bargaining proposal form online at least 24 hours in advance of their Local meeting.

Once the Committee has gathered feedback from members, they’ll meet later this
fall to review proposals and pull them together into a comprehensive bargaining
package.
Negotiations are
expected to begin in spring 2023.
