For the first time since pandemic health restrictions were put in place in 2020, MGEU’s elected Workplace Reps will have the opportunity to acquire the skills they need at in-person training sessions this year.

“It's so great to be able to offer our members that face-to-face option again,” said MGEU President Kyle Ross. “But since we piloted our first online session in fall 2020, some have expressed how much they appreciated this more accessible way to attend so we'll be offering several online courses as well.”

Workplace Reps can review the newly released 2022-23 Membership Education Course Guide and log into their account on THE SOURCE, to register. They should also watch their inbox or mailbox for news of courses as they become available (sent out eight weeks in advance of the start date.)

For those who don’t hold an elected position, You and Your Union sessions -- designed for those MGEU members who are curious about exactly how their union works on a day-to-day basis -- will also be returning in-person in 2022-23.

Any eligible member wishing to register for one of these sessions (see page 7 of the 2022-23 Membership Education Course Guide for details) can contact the MGEU Resource Centre.
