The Manitoba Progressive Conservatives have announced that they would take steps to eliminate the provision of Legal Aid services to gang members and drug dealers that have been convicted of a crime. Leader Hugh McFadyen said he would also amend the Legal Aid Manitoba Act to deny Legal Aid to those who have been convicted on charges including participating in a criminal organization, drug trafficking and proceeds of crime.
