On Wednesday, December 12th, the Unionware bargaining committee (Local 193) reached a tentative 4-year agreement with the employer.

The agreement includes wage increases in each year of the agreement, as well as new language on travel compensation, performance appraisals and maternity leave.

The bargaining committee is now preparing a ratification document with complete details of the new agreement and has scheduled a ratification meeting for January 8th from 12 pm – 1 pm in the workplace. Meeting notices will be mailed out this week with more details.

In the meantime, members of Locals 193 are encouraged to update their contact information to ensure they receive a copy of the new contract once available.
