LATEST BARGAINING NEWS
The Community Support - Component 15 Bargaining Committee resumed meeting to put together the bargaining proposal package in October. They continued this work on October, 6, 7 and 8 and December 11, 12 and 13, 2018.
With the government's announcement that they would be forcing Community Support Component members to take part in the Bill 29 union representation votes, bargaining was put on hold until after the votes take place.
The union representation votes are now scheduled to begin in August. Community Support members will have an opportunity to vote for the union they want to represent into the future beginning Thursday, August 8, 2019 until Thursday, August 22, 2019.
Overview of Bargaining So Far
Members of Community Support - Component 15 shared their ideas and proposals for improving their collective agreement at meetings held throughout the province in February and March.
The Bargaining Committee met on Wednesday, March 14 and Thursday, March 15, May 2, 3 and 4, and July 10, 11, 12, 24 and 25, 2018 to begin pulling together these proposals into a package to present to the employer.
