LATEST BARGAINING NEWS
Members of Manitoba Museum - Local 133 voted to ratify a new collective agreement on June 13, 2018.
Highlights of the deal include wage increases in each year of the agreement and improvements to compassionate and sick leave, as well as a Letter of Understanding to address part-time employee issues.
Members are encouraged to
make sure the union has their most current contact information in order to
receive a copy of their collective agreement.
Overview of Bargaining So Far
Members of Manitoba Museum - Local 133 put forward their ideas and proposals for improving their collective agreement at a proposal meeting held Wednesday, March 7, 2018. The Bargaining
Committee then worked to pull together these proposals into a package, which
members had an opportunity to review at a meeting held Monday, April 9, 2018.
The Bargaining Committee began negotiations with the employer on April 16, and continued on April 19 and 20, and May 9, 2018.
Shortly after, the Committee reached a tentative agreement with the employer. The Committee recommended to members that they accept the deal.
