LATEST BARGAINING NEWS
The Manitoba Possible - Local 262 Bargaining Committee has reached a tentative agreement with their employer.
Members will now have an opportunity to vote on the offer through mail-in ballot. The Bargaining Committee will be holding a virtual Information Sessions to answer any question members have about the agreement on Wednesday, April 7. Ballots must be returned to the MGEU office by Monday, April 12, 2021.
The Committee is recommending acceptance.
Overview of Bargaining So Far
Members of Manitoba Possible - Local 262 had an opportunity to put forward their ideas and proposals for a new collective agreement at a proposal meeting on June 4, 2019.
The Bargaining Committee then worked to pull together these proposals into a package to present to the employer.
The Bargaining
Committee began negotiations with the employer on September 20, 2019,
and bargaining continued on October 4, 10 and 18, 2019.
The Manitoba Possible - Local 262 Bargaining Committee resumed negotiations with the employer on January 8 and 22, 2020 and continued remotely on March 19 and April 15, 2020.
