Pallister Government plans to remove 1,000 more units from Manitoba Housing
The Manitoba Government is sending 1,000 more affordable housing units from Manitoba Housing to community-based organizations over the next year, according to a story published yesterday by CBC News. MGEU President, Michelle Gawronsky fears that the government's dangerous austerity agenda will make it even harder for those who depend on the additional services provided by the provincial agency.

The future of Selkirk Laundry continues to be in question following information contained in a KPMG report, titled Health System Sustainability and Innovation Review: Phase 2 Report. The report recommends to, “Close the Selkirk Laundry site including operational transfer and equipment decommissioning to the Inkster Laundry site.”
