President Gawronsky Continues Summer Health Care Tour
Aug 11, 2017Today, MGEU President Michelle Gawronsky wrapped up another busy week of meeting with members working in hospitals and personal care homes across the province. This summer, she’s been meeting with members in health care, asking them to take their break with us and talk about public health care.
“No matter where I go, from Winnipeg, to Hartney or Beausejour, our members are worried about the damaging effects the government’s budget cuts are having on the services they provide,” she said. “By listening to our members, those providing these services, day-in and day-out, we’re giving them an opportunity to speak up about the vital role that health care services play in keeping our communities healthy.”
Tour stops have included:
• Lac Du Bonnet
• Pine Falls
“It’s been another wonderful week on the road and I’m looking forward to meeting with even more members in the coming months,” Gawronsky added.
