Manitoba Access Awareness Week proclaimed by Government
Jun 16, 2020
The Manitoba government has proclaimed June 14 to 20, 2020 Manitoba Access Awareness Week (MAAW).
Manitoba celebrates MAAW annually to raise awareness about accessibility issues that affect people with disabilities and many others. This year, the focus is on accessible employment and customer service during COVID-19.
With an ongoing commitment to identify, remove and prevent barriers in the workplace and the union, MGEU would like to promote Accessibility Manitoba’s webinar this Thursday.
Accessibility in the Workplace During COVID-19
This webinar will explain accessibility laws and strategies to maintain employee safety and access to goods and services during a pandemic. The webinar will feature the launch of a new training video on accessibility in the workplace.
