Members of Animikii Ozoson Child and Family Services - Local 443, who serve families living in Winnipeg with ties to the First Nations of Ontario, have ratified their first collective agreement.
Highlights of the five-year agreement include improvements to vacation allotments, personal and family leave, and overtime pay, as well as the introduction of a Labour Management Committee, grievance and arbitration procedures, and layoff/recall provisions.
The Bargaining Committee encourages members who have not yet signed a membership application form to contact the MGEU Resource Centre to ensure they receive a copy of the collective agreement once it’s printed.
