Macdonald Youth Services (Alternative Parent Home Program) - Local 369, recently went to arbitration to settle the outstanding terms of their collective agreement. MYS APHP is one of the very few MGEU groups that can access interest arbitration through their collective agreement.

This morning the arbitrator issued their decision and imposed wage increases over the two-year collective agreement as follows:

Year 1 – 1.5% (effective July 1, 2018)

Year 2 – 1.5% (effective July 1, 2019)

This will mean an increase in wages for members going forward, as well as retroactive pay back to July 2018.

“I’m very pleased for these members and want to congratulate the bargaining committee on a job well done,” said MGEU President, Michelle Gawronsky.
