Today, University College of the North members (MGEU Locals 69 & 70) voted to accept a new four-year agreement (April 2022 - March 2026) after more than two years of bargaining.

Members will see general wage increases of 2.5% (2022), 2.75% (2023), 3.0% (2024) and 3% (2025), and an additional new step of 2.5% (2025) at the top of the wage scale.

Other highlights of the agreement include a one-time lump sum payment, increases to overnight and weekend shift premiums, as well as family-related leave, and an end to unpaid days during winter break.

In a message sent to members of the Local, the Bargaining Committee thanked everyone for their support and solidarity during this long and difficult round of bargaining.
