On March 24, 2025 the employer presented an offer that achieves parity with the Civil Service on regular wage scales for members of Local 395 - Southeast CFS. Strike action is postponed for members of this local.

“Southeast CFS negotiations continued over the weekend and into today, and as a result we have an offer that achieves what our members have been asking for,” said MGEU President Kyle Ross. “We are glad to see progress and members will now vote on the offer and have the final say.”

An information session and ratification vote are being scheduled for later this week. Pending the outcome of the ratification vote, job action that was planned for tomorrow morning is suspended. Members of Southeast CFS are to report to work as usual tomorrow.

By standing together, members of Local 395 have been able to achieve an offer that recognizes and respects the important services they deliver to eight First Nations in southeastern Manitoba and provides them with wage parity.

Note: As of March 24 at 4:15 pm, strike action for Metis CFCS and Michif CFS will still start on Tuesday morning.
