On Saturday, January 24th, members from Seine River School Division (Custodial and Maintenance employees) ratified a new three-year collective agreement.
The new agreement includes a 10% wage increase over three years for Class 1 employees and a 9% wage increase for Classes 2 and 4. It also includes significantly improved contract language regarding casual employment, allocation of additional hours, sick leave and much more. The MGEU is now working with the employer to prepare and sign the agreement as soon as possible. Once that happens, the Union will print and distribute copies of the new contract to members.
