The MGEU is pleased to announce the 2023 recipients of our annual educational bursaries and scholarships.

Sixteen bursaries are awarded based on financial need. Two bursaries are available in each of the MGEU’s eight geographically-defined Areas: one to an MGEU member and one to a spouse/common-law partner, child or ward of an MGEU member.

The MGEU also awards the Joseph Grenier Bursary, available to an MGEU health care member in the HCSS Component (or spouse/common-law partner or child pursuing a health care profession), the Peter Olfert Scholarship, available to an individual studying in a field that potentially impacts public policy, and the Ken Hildahl Scholarship, which enables an active member to attend a seminar, course or conference in order to further their knowledge in worker pension governance issues.

Congratulations to all!
