The ballots have been counted and members of Patient Transport Services - Local 451 ratified a new four-year collective agreement last night.

After members rejected a final offer from the employer on February 14, the Local 451 Bargaining Committee and employer returned to the table and reached a tentative agreement one week later.

With the introduction of a new pay scale in the first year of the agreement, members will see wage increases ranging from approximately 20% to 37% (depending on their length of service) over the duration of the agreement.

The agreement also includes increased support for training and improvements to vacation, bereavement and sick leave.

Members are encouraged to make sure the union has their most current contact information in order to receive a copy of their new collective agreement once it is available.
