PC Leader Hugh McFadyen has announced a plan to strengthen community centres and arenas across Manitoba with two new initiatives aimed at helping them ‘go green’. This would see the provision of matching grants to help rural communities phase out the use of harmful carbon monoxide, particulate emitting ice cleaning equipment in favor of cleaner alternatives, such as electrically powered Zambonis.
