On April 15, 2026, members voted to reject the tentative agreement.
The Bargaining Committee then contacted the employer to request a return to the table as soon as possible.
Bargaining will resume on April 29, 2026.
Overview of Bargaining So Far
Members of Animikii Ozoson Child and Family Services - Local 443 had an opportunity to put forward their ideas and proposals for improving their collective agreement at a meeting on October 21, 2025.
At the meeting, proposals were discussed and members voted on which ones the Bargaining Committee would use to form the bargaining proposal package.
An Essential Services Agreement (ESA) was developed and completed before bargaining began.
On January 7, 2026, the Bargaining Committee met with employer to exchange proposals.
Bargaining was ongoing with additional dates scheduled in March.
On March 23, 2026 the Bargaining Committee for Animikii Ozoson Child and Family Services - Local 443 reached a tentative agreement with the employer.
