LATEST BARGAINING NEWS
Members voted to ratify a new four-year agreement on June 25, 2025.
Highlights of the new agreement include:
- Wage increases in each year of the agreement
- Post-secondary scholarship for children of employees
- Transition to a new pay scale
- Increase in travel reimbursement
The next step in concluding the collective agreement is to work with the employer to finalize and sign-off the document, which could take some time.

Overview of Bargaining So Far
Members of Université St-Boniface, PASA - Local 147 had an opportunity to put foward their ideas and proposal for improving their collective agreement at a meeting on June 6, 2024.
The Bargaining Committee then worked to pull together these proposals into a package to present to the employer.
The Table Commune Bargaining Committee and the employer exchanged proposal packages on June 7, 2024 and continued bargaining throughout the month.
Negotiations took a break for three weeks in July and resumed in early August.
All non-monetary items have been discussed. Monetary items are planned for discussion in February 2025.
Bargaining meetings took place in March and April.
Discussions of the table commune resumed in March. Monetary items, such as leaves, health spending account and tuition reduction were being discussed at that time.
At the PASA-USB table, negotiations shifted to monetary items and bargaining continued in May 2025.
On June 18, 2025 the Bargaining Committee and employer reached a tentative agreement. The committee recommended acceptance.
