LATEST BARGAINING NEWS

On August 19, 2025, members voted to accept a new three-year agreement (effective June 2, 2024 to May 29, 2027).

Highlights of the new agreement include:

  • General wage increases and several new salary scale steps

  • Increased to benefits and shift premium

The next step in concluding the collective agreement is to work with the employer to finalize and sign-off the document, which could take some time.

Members are encouraged to make sure MGEU has their current contact information to receive a link to the new collective agreement once it is available.

Recognition pay was paid out on Friday, August 29, 2025.

Overview of Bargaining So Far

Manitoba Centenniel Centre - Local 125 members had an opportunity to put foward their ideas and proposals for improving their collective agreement at a meeting held earlier this year.

The Bargaining Committee then worked to pull together these proposals into a package to present to the employer.

The first bargaining meeting between your Bargaining Committee and the employer took place on October 7, 2024.

Bargaining meetings happened throughout the winter and spring.

As of mid-July 2025, some monetary items have been tentatively agreed to. There are some non-monetary items still in negotiation.

The Bargaining Committee reached a tentative agreement with the employer and recommended members vote to accept the agreement.

A come and go ratification meeting was held on August 19, 2025.
