LATEST BARGAINING NEWS
On February 18, 2026, members of SRSD Educational Assistants - Local 145 ratified a new three-year collective agreement (effective July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2028).
Highlights of the new agreement include:
- Retroactive pay to July 1, 2025 to be provided within 90 days
- Additional vacation after 15 years of service
The next step in concluding the collective agreement is to work with the employer to finalize and sign-off the document, which could take some time.

Overview of Bargaining So Far
Members of Seine River School Division, Educational Assistants - Local 145 had an opportunity to put forward proposals to be considered in the next round of bargaining at a meeting on March 10, 2025. The meetings were well attended and we thank members for their submissions.
Your Bargaining Committee then reviewed the proposals and compiled a proposal package, which was shared with the employer on June 19, 2025.
Regular negotiations meetings took place with the employer. Discussions largely focused on non-monetary items such as employee rights and safety issues.
On January 30, 2026, your Bargaining Committee reached a tentative agreement and recommended members accept it.
