LATEST BARGAINING NEWS
On January 22, 2026, members of UnionWare - Local 193 voted to accept a new three-year collective agreement (effective September 1, 2025 - August 31, 2028). These members provide union management software services.
Highlights of the collective agreement include:
- Annual increases based on Manitoba's consumer price index
- Changes to the merit increase system
- Profit sharing - a percentage of the annual EBITDA
- Increase to the health spending account
The next step is to work with the employer to finalize and sign the collective agreement, which can take some time. We will also confirm when retroactive wages can be expected.

Overview of Bargaining So Far
Members of UnionWare Inc - Local 193 put forward their ideas and proposals for improving their collective agreement at a meeting on May 29, 2025.
The Bargaining Committee pulled the proposals together into a package that was presented to the employer when bargaining began on November 24, 2025.
Bargaining continued in late November and into December.
On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, your Bargaining Committee reached a tentative agreement, that they are recommended members accept.
Members received information about the tentative agreement by email and had an opportunity to ask questions at an info session on January 21, 2026.
Voting will took place electronically and members received information about the voting process by email.
