Rebuilding Manitoba's Public Services
Manitoba’s government is choosing to leave nearly 20% of public service jobs unfilled. That makes it harder for you to get the services you need.
Send a message: Tell the government to fill the jobs
Unfilled Jobs. Unmet needs.
Short staffing in Manitoba's public service means there are fewer people to do the work we all count on, like:
- Responding to wildfires and floods, and protecting communities from environmental emergencies;
- Providing timely, accessible health care;
- Supporting families in times of crisis and keeping kids safe;
- Providing environmental, workplace safety and health, animal welfare, and health inspections;
- Keeping communities safe and our justice system running;
- Providing Manitobans with essential documents like health cards, marriage certificates, and death certificates;
- Enforcing hunting / fishing regulations and protections;
- Keeping online networks up and running;
- Clearing snow and maintaining / inspecting our highways and bridges;
- Ensuring buildings are maintained and serviceable;
- Promoting safe and sustainable trucking operations on Manitoba highways; and
- Delivering many other important public services.
Strong public services are the backbone of a thriving province and it takes dedicated people to deliver them.
It’s time to hire back workers and rebuild our public services. Because in Manitoba, we grow by putting people first.
