On May 12, 2025 members of Manitoba Museum - Local 133 voted to accept a new 42-month collective agreement (effective October 1, 2024 - March 31, 2028).

The new agreement includes improvements to bereavement leave including a broader definition of family and access to leave in the event of the loss of a service animal, improvements to sick leave, an increase to meal allowances and mileage, and more time allocated for union orientation of new hires. In addition to what was ratified at the bargaining table, members will receive wage increases in each year of the agreement.

The next step in concluding the collective agreement is to work with the employer to finalize and sign-off the document, which could take some time.
