The results are in and members of the Technical Professional Component in Locals 408, 409, 410, 411, 420 ratified a new 4-year collective agreement (effective April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2028).
The new agreement includes significant wage increases, with an average increase for most members of between 24% to 30% over the life of the agreement. The wage increases include general wage increases, market adjustments, and rural factor adjustments.
It also includes a new 15-year long service step, a new 25-year long service step, shift premium increases, the addition of two wellness days, and an increase for vacation and income protection accrual rates.
The next step in concluding the collective agreement is to work with the employer to finalize and sign-off the document, which could take some time.
