On October 29, members of Pinaow Wachi Personal Care Home - Local 423 in Norway House voted to accept a new four-year collective agreement (effective April 1, 2025 - March 31, 2029). These members provide care to the Home's long-term residents.
Highlights of the new agreement include:
- A significant wage increase in year one of the agreement
- General wage increases in each of the following years of the agreement
- A retention bonus in each year of the agreement
- Sick time accrual
The next step is to work with the employer to finalize and sign the collective agreement, which can take some time. We will also confirm when retroactive wages and payment of the bonuses can be expected.
