On March 24, 2026, members of Main Street Project - Local 136 ratified a new four-year collective agreement (effective April 1, 2026 - March 31, 2030). These workers provide community outreach, emergency shelter, food bank, residential housing, and withdrawal management services in Winnipeg.
Highlights of the new agreement include:
- General wage increases in each year of the agreement
- New long service steps (15 years and 25 years)
- Increased sick leave accrual rates
The next step in concluding the collective agreement is to work with the employer to finalize and sign-off the document, which could take some time.
