On May 4, 2026, members of two MGEU Locals voted to ratify new collective agreements.
ROSE Inc. - Local 376
On May 4, 2026, members of ROSE Inc. - Local 376 ratified a new three-year collective agreement (effective November 12, 2025 - November 13, 2028). These workers provide services to adults with disabilities.
Highlights of the new agreement include:
- New memorandum of understanding for health benefits review process after ratification
- Three hours of pay for shifts cancelled during the posted schedule
- Minimum wage for sleepover shifts for periods of rest or sleep
- Sick leave accruals during probation
Seine River School Division Support - Local 144
Members of Seine River School Division Support - Local 144 ratified a new four-year collective agreement (effective July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2029) yesterday. These workers provide critical supports for teachers and students.
Highlights of the new agreement include:
- General wage increases in each year of the agreement, plus a special wage adjustment in year 4
- Increase from one to two personal days per school year
The next step in concluding both collective agreements is to work with the employer to finalize and sign-off the document, which could take some time.
