LATEST BARGAINING NEWS
The Local 354 Bargaining Committee is currently working through non-monetary items (includes working conditions and contract language) at the bargaining table with the employer. Negotiations are scheduled to resume May 3 and 15, 2024.
Overview of Bargaining So Far
Members of Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation - Local 354 had an opportunity to put forward their ideas and proposals for improving their collective agreement at a proposal meeting on March 23, 2023.
The Bargaining Committee then worked to pull together these proposals into a package and requested dates from the employer to begin negotiations.
The Committee exchanged proposals with the employer on Monday, August 28, 2023 and negotiations continued in September (25 and 26), October (25, 26 and 27), November (20 and 22), and December (11 through 15).
