Last night, members of Canadian Blood Services voted down a tentative agreement that was reached through conciliation on April 11th, 2013.

The rejection of this offer puts the members of Locals 200 and 400 in a strike position as they had voted in favour of a strike mandate back on February 7th, 2013.

At this time, no strike date has been set, but members can check the MGEU website for updates.

“The decision to go on strike is a difficult one. And this one is compounded by the nature of the work these members do…saving lives daily. But the members feel they have no other option,” said MGEU President Michelle Gawronsky.
