Right now, thousands of MGEU members are working on the frontlines and behind the scenes to provide the public services we all rely on to keep us healthy and safe. But strong public services can only happen with people to deliver them.
To show Manitobans the vital services MGEU members are providing at this unprecedented time, we’re asking you to send us a selfie at work (or on your break, or before your shift, or after work), along with info about the service you provide, so we can share it.
You can send us a shot in your PPE (if applicable), in the office, out in the field, or working from home – just remember to follow all workplace guidelines about smartphone and social media use and avoid including any personal or private workplace information in your photo.
You can send us your photo via direct message on Facebook or Instagram or email it to promotions@mgeu.ca and you’ll be entered to win one of three “Thank You” packages* that will be drawn and announced on June 19, 2020 to celebrate Public Services Week. Please include your full name, where you work, and your member ID number (if you know it) in your message. If you share your photo on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, be sure to include the hashtag #PeopleBehindThePublic in your post.

*Draw is available to MGEU members only. Please provide your full name when sending an image so we can verify your membership in our database. The deadline to submit photos is June 18, 2020 at 5pm. Three prize packages will be awarded. If contact information is not available in our database, winners will be notified in the way they entered the draw (Facebook/Instagram Messenger or email). By providing an image, you are granting MGEU permission to share the image on its social media feeds or website. Prize Packages will be available for pick-up at one of the MGEU’s eight regional offices.
