MGEU Members at the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (NCN) Family and Community Wellness Centre (Local 358) – who provide supports in public health, child and family services, counselling and other community programming based out of Nelson House – ratified a new four-year agreement on August 31, 2022.
The new contract, effective March 28, 2020 to March 31, 2024, will provide general wage increases in each year of the agreement as well as an increase to the remoteness allowance, amplified shift premiums, improved bereavement leave, and additional sick leave for the 40 workers represented in the Local.
