Government Community Workers Reach Tentative Agreement

On January 3rd, 2013, after approximately 36 bargaining sessions, members of the Government Community Workers Component reached a tentative 4-year agreement with the employer.

The agreement includes improvements to wages, job security and mileage rates, and the bargaining committee is recommending acceptance of the agreement.

The committee will be scheduling meetings with the membership across the province to share detailed information about the proposed deal and to answer any questions. Information packages are being mailed to every member in the next few days with details about the agreement and these ratification meetings.

Ballots for voting on this offer will only be distributed at these meetings, so it is very important that everyone comes out to vote.
