Members of Assiniboine Community College MGEU Local 71 and Red River College MGEU Local 73 have voted overwhelmingly to reject the final offer from management.  Voting was held in various locations across the province from September 24-27, 2018.  Bargaining began in October 2017 and led to a final offer from management in July 2018.

Faculty and staff rejected the offer citing the key issues of employment security and instructor workload.  Management's offer was void of meaningful wage increases imposed by Pallister's Bill 28 but included increased parking fees.

The Bargaining Committee will be asking management to return to the bargaining table before seeking a strike mandate from the Local membership.
