At 4:25 am this morning, MGEU and CUPE reached a tentative agreement with health care employers and have agreed to suspend job action (which was scheduled to begin today), pending the outcome of a ratification vote.
Online information sessions will be scheduled to share the details of the tentative agreement and allow members to ask questions, with an electronic ratification vote to follow. The Bargaining Committee is recommending acceptance of the tentative agreement and will provide further updates to members of Locals 402, 403, 405, 413, 421 and 456 when available.
Members of the Locals who were planning to walk the picket line today must report to work for their scheduled shifts, including essential services shifts. Please contact your supervisor if you have any questions.
