When public services are short staffed, it’s Manitoba families who pay the price, with longer wait times and delays.

After years of cuts, nearly 20% of the jobs in the public service remain unfilled, meaning there are fewer people to support families, keep children safe, protect our environment, and maintain our infrastructure.

To address the province’s public service staffing crisis, the MGEU’s “Rebuilding Public Services” campaign returns next week—featuring television, outdoor, and online ads running across Manitoba.

The updated campaign, which originally aired in April 2025, also features a new call-to-action component, allowing all Manitobans to send a message to the government and tell them it’s time to fill the jobs and rebuild our public services.
